a VVV (visual vertical verse) is a proverbial style shape poem inspired by A R Ammons 'Cleavage 'and 'Chasm ' poetry ,published in 1990) To this poetic shape form I have now applied a new convenient label , VVV Please note my version thereof as exampled below has an integral title.
Note:
This poetry like all of my poetic BlogSpot examples may be used for educational purposes provided acknowledgement is made and advised to me at Strandbg@aol.com
CRATER a vvv
fragile and
volatile lie
suppressed emotions
denied 'neath
the volcano
of frustration
CANYAN a vvv
high wide
and handsome
the chasm
of emptiness
that fills
viduaged hearts
GRIEF a VVV poem
paused silence
unsaid words,
cadenced sounds
remain for
ever in
our tears
THE
HAPPENING a vvv
verbal chords
emotive
tones
lyric moments
placed
pauses
in the
listening
ear
THE
ETERNAL PAUSE a VVV
soft
spoken
voiced
musings
freed
verse
lingers
in
the
ear
dwelling for
a
moment
KNOWING
TO VOICING a vvv
sensory
selections
meditative muses
impulsive pictures
reflections from
caverns of
my mind
SHADOWS
a vvv
in
the
language of
reflections all
is foreshortened
distance disappears
allusion is
brought near
VIDUAGE AGAIN a VVV visual vertical verse
beauty youth
yesterdays dreams
todays remains
dressed in
widows weeds
OUR BIOS a vvv
when love
is near
its fragrance
clings close
begotten by
the offspring
we rear
